Intel-486 based Airborne Computer with Dual Node MIL-STD-1553B Interfaces, ARINC-429 interfaces (3-Tx, 8-Rx), Two RS-422 channels & 16 DIOs
Overview
The system is a Ruggedized Airborned quality with two independent MIL-STD-1553B interfaces and 3-Tx, 8-Rx ARINC-429 channels are also incorporated. The system is based on a standard bus architecture with Intel 80486 CPU as computational engine. By using Multiple cards (two cards), high degree of fault tolerance capabilities can be achieved, with normal and alternate change over logic implementation. This computer consists of the following features housed in a custom built chassis. A separate Power Supply Module (DC-DC converter) is specially mounted on the chassis.
